Kalibr Targets are often used together with the Kalibr calibration software (https://github.com/ethz-asl/kalibr). The software package is one of the most popular camera calibration frameworks and provides multi-camera, IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) and rolling shutter calibration procedures for drones (unmanned aerial vehicles) and autonomous vehicles.

The Kalibr calibration pattern has very similar characteristics to Charuco Targets. Unique encoded markers based on the well-known AprilTag library allow for calibration of partially visible targets in images, facilitating camera calibration especially in multi-camera scenarios.

For our standard Kalibr Targets, we use the DICT_AprilTag_36h11 dictionary, which is the default setting in the Kalibr framework. The ratio of space between markers to marker size is set to 0.3, which also corresponds to the default settings of the Kalibr framework. If your application requires a Kalibr Target with a different AprilTag dictionary, or if further customization is required, please contact us. We are able to make any adjustments to the Kalibr Targets.
